Namib-Naukluft National Park, Namibia

One of the most famous National Parks in Namibia, Namib-Naukluft is an amazing sunrise (but also sunset) spot, but even more famous for its wildlife and sand dunes, which are some of the world’s most famous. This is an amazing photo spot, and if you’re in Namibia, you should definitely check it out.

Grand Canyon, USA

The world famous Grand Canyon is also an awesome place for watching the sunset. When the sun sets, the sky blends with the red canyon, creating a beautiful ombre affect that is not to be missed. Just know that you will probably be sharing this experience with others, since the Grand Canyon is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the USA.

Cape Town, South Africa

Cape Town, possibly South Africa’s most famous city, and one of the coolest cities in the world, is undeniably a great place to watch the sunset. People love watching it, especially seeing the bright sun disappear under the ocean. A great spot in the city is the Bloubergstrand shoreline, which gives you an amazing views of the sunset as well as some of the city landmarks.

Haleakala National Park, Maui, Hawaii

Most people come to Haleakala just to see the sunset. I myself have visited and the sunset is really amazing! From the peak, you’re literally above the clouds, so it’s hard to see the island below, but on some days, you can see the tip of a mountain on the Big Island, which is pretty cool. After the sunset, you can stargaze; the stars are very bright up there.

Santorini, Greece

Santorini, one of Greece’s most beautiful islands in extremely famous for its sunsets. From the caldera, you can see the sun reflecting off the bright blue water. What makes the sunset extremely special is that you can see the cliffs and its building when you look at the view, because Santorini is shaped like a cresent, so you can almost always see land when looking at the water.

Angkor Wat, Cambodia

One of the best places in the world to see the sunset, Angkor Wat is definitely a place you should stop to explore and take some photos. When watching the sunset from its main temple, you’ll see its refection in the water and a colorful sky in the back.

Luang Prabang, Laos

Laung Prabang, on one of the world’s most amazing waterways (the Mekong River) is also one of the world’s best sunset spots. When travelling through the area, make sure to stop by here. A great way to experience the sunset is to take a river cruise, which will take you through the magnificent river and let you see the sunset.

Zanzibar Island in Tanzania is one of the most beautiful places to watch the sunset in the world. It seems as if the ocean is on fire when you see it, and with the turquoise waters and sandy beaches of the island, there’s no point in not visiting, if you want to get the best of both worlds.
