An island is what usually comes to mind when thinking of a vacation. These small, but amazing places draw people to them because of their reputation for clear water and beaches. And sure, not all islands are like that, but today I’m going to be listing the most beautiful islands in the world (in my opinion).
5. St. Lucia, the Caribbean
St. Lucia is known for being one of the most beautiful islands in the Caribbean. And the Caribbean has a lot of beautiful islands, so you can see why I put this in here. The island is amazing because it has it all: sandy beaches, green mountains, and lots of wildlife. Even the food is good! If you’re planning a trip to the Caribbean (though you’re probably not going to travel much too soon), then St. Lucia is definitely a place to go.
4. Palawan, the Philippines
Palawan is a beautiful bundle of paradise. It’s location, in an area of water between the Sulu and South China Seas are a perfect place for an island vacation. Much like St. Lucia, Palawan has beautiful beaches, wildlife, and green mountains, but the sea here is less of a deep, shining blue and more of a turquoise.
Honestly, you can’t miss out on this island, it’s worth it in every way.
3. Bora Bora
Bora Bora, a Pacific, French Polynesian island is mostly known for its beautiful water and beaches, as well as its signature green peaks rising in the background. The only way to fly to the island is through Tahiti, so going here also a great opportunity to visit other, also amazing islands.
The island is very expensive however, so if you want a budget destination, this place is probably not for you.
2. Mauritius
Mauritius, an island of the East Coast of Africa is definitely a place you should visit. It’s full of culture, beaches, mountains, even dormant volcanoes! When looking at the island from above, you can see a sort of reverse affect, known as the underwater waterfalls.
There’s so many things that make this island amazing, so on your next vacation, why not go ahead and explore it yourself? I guarantee it’ll be one of your favorites.
- Santorini, Greece
Santorini, one of the most famous islands in the world, is my number one choice. There’s just so many unique things about it, like the volcanoes, hot springs, colorful beaches, idyllic towns, and of course, the ever famous caldera views.
There’s no reason to miss out on this island, especially if you’re already planning to go to Greece.
